This spillway in the Mullet River is located just southeast of downtown Glenbeulah... one block south of County Road A on Garden Street.  Glenbeulah is about 5 miles northwest of Plymouth.  About 5 miles downstream in this same Mullet River you will find the Plymouth Millpond Spillway.

  Gooseville Millpond Spillway:  View Video
Latitude: 43.58841   Longitude: -88.02043
This spillway in the Milwaukee River is located in the very small town of Gooseville 0.15 miles north of County Road SS on Silver Creek Cascade Road.  A very small stream called Gooseville Creek flows into the Milwaukee River just upstream and helps form Gooseville Millpond.  The Millpond is on private property so it could not be inspected (it appears that maybe this was once a dam that has been removed... can anyone provide more information).  The photo was taken from County Road SS looking east.

Plymouth Millpond Spillway:  View Video
Latitude: 43.74783   Longitude: -87.97188
This beautiful spillway is just east of downtown Plymouth at the east end of Mill Street one block south of Main Street.  There is a small park on the south side of the river that will give you the best view of the spillway.  This spillway is in the Mullet River and locally this area is sometimes called the Mullet River Dam.

Riverbend Spillway:
Latitude: 43.72836   Longitude: -87.78856
This spillway is on private property in the town of Kohler (just east of Sheboygan Falls) and is not available to the public.  Riverbend property contains a historic mansion (built in 1923 and originally owned by Walter J. Kohler, then Governor of Wisconsin) that has been turned into a very exclusive private membership club with guest rooms, dining rooms, spa, pool, etc.; all for members only use.  The spillway is a typical concrete spillway with an approx 5 foot fall.  A larger spillway is on further downstream and is described below as the Walderhaus Spillway.

Sheboygan Marsh Spillway:  View Video
Latitude: 43.84928   Longitude: -88.04736
This spillway is about 2 miles northwest of Elkhart Lake... take County Road J out of Elkhart Lake and in 1.6 miles turn left on access road SR to the spillway.  This spillway drains Sheboygan Marsh which is fed by the upper reaches of the Sheboygan River.

Walderhaus Spillway:  View Video
Latitude: 43.73210   Longitude: -87.78233
A 6-8 foot drop spillway in the Sheboygan River on downriver from the beautiful Sheboygan Falls.  Closest parking to the spillway is in a playground 0.8 miles away.  The playground is at the corner of Lower Falls Road and Valley Road in the town of Kohler (1.2 miles east of downtown Sheboygan Falls on Monroe Street which turns into Lower Falls Road).  From the playground walk east on Lower Falls Road for 0.3 miles to an access road (with a cable across it), then walk another 0.5 miles on the access road to the spillway.  (Our opinion, it's not worth the 1.6 mile roundtrip walk... it's not a very exciting spillway).

  Waldo Millpond Spillway:  View Video
Latitude: 43.67632   Longitude: -87.94370
This beautiful spillway is located on the Onion River in the town of Waldo in a nice little park.  At the intersection of County Road V with Highway 28 go west 125 yards and then go north 0.13 miles on a small gravel road to the spillway with a parking area adjacent.

Links & Helpful Hints...
Before you visit a waterfall it is helpful to know the surrounding landscape... we use two free internet services to help.  www.topoquest.com provides free topo maps which can be enlarged and printed.  Access Topoquest and then click "find maps" on their website, put in GPS from our data (without the minus sign), click "search", then click on the first USGS map that has a DRG name, click on the map itself and select zoom level.  To navigate the area... if you want to look at an area left of the map, click on the left edge of the map, etc.  Below each map will be a listing of features shown on the map... a little work and you will learn their system (sometime clicking on the edge will not take you to an adjacent map).
---------------
We also use Google Earth.  It is a free service you can download at https://www.google.com/earth/.  Like Topoquest, you put in GPS data (or city, or county and state) and it will "fly" you to the location requested.
---------------
There are lots of internet sites that list facts about Wisconsin... one of the best is the Wisconsin DNR site http://dnr.wi.gov/ which has all kinds of info.  Another good site is www.discoverwisconsin.com.
